Bayern destroys Tottenham 7-2 in Champions League Thriller – #TOTFCB
Son-Heung min had put Tottenham ahead in the 12th minute after missing two chances previously but Bayern responded in emphatic fashion just moments later, with Joshua Kimmich firing home a spectacular strike from outside the area on the stroke of half time. Robert Lewandowski then turned the game on its head with a brilliant effort on the turn, leaving Hugo Lloris with no chance.
And in the second half, Gnabry stole the headlines with a three-minute brace, firing home from the edge of the box for Bayern’s third before grabbing his second just moments later with a composed left-footed finish.
Harry Kane grabbed a consolation for Mauricio Pochettino’s men from the penalty spot in the 61st minute after Danny Rose was brought down in the area. But Gnabry then got his wish, netting his hat-trick goal with seven minutes of normal time remaining before adding a fourth right at the death just after Lewandowski made it six.
